Oggi*
*When I took Italian the first time, I had a textbook called Oggi In Italia. “Oggi” significa “today”.
Oggi e ventinove aprile. (Today is April 29th.)

Rainbow
This reminds me of a ferris wheel – pretty, but I’m not sure I want to get on. The soles of your shoes touching the tops of others? I don’t know…

Bugs Be Gone
With the weather starting to behave, I start to daydream about being outside twenty hours a day this summer. And then the mosquitoes start weaseling their way into the apartment through the cracks in my window screens.
(I have some tasty, tasty blood – I’m always their first target.)
So now I’m thinking about how to ward them off without wearing garlic necklaces (or is that just “real” vampires?) Beekman has a ton of pretty soaps, all made from the milk of goats on their farm, but I’m sticking with the bug repellent bars.
Fingers crossed that they perform as well as promised, so I won’t have to go around smelling of eau d’OFF all summer long.

Tribeca
I saw Trucker last night. Michele Monaghan was amazing in a way that makes you wonder why she’s in Made of Honor. I didn’t expect much of this movie, but the whole cast was great – seriously brilliant or lucky director. You’re invested in these people from two minutes in.
It’s not yet on the Rotten Tomatoes radar yet, and I’m surprised, but they have no scheduled release after the festival. I would love to see this again; release it!
