Maple Syrup is Back Upon Us
I had no idea people were smelling it again as recently as March.
At first it tasted like the inside of a sickly-sweet smelling cab, then it was banana bread, and it stopped at that combination sweet smell you get walking into a candy store. I kept sniffing like a puppy until I was lightheaded. Maple syrup, poison; potato, potahto.
It persisted until I closed the window, for about half an hour around midnight (May 29).
