Pretty Good
A few years ago, I looked over Eric’s shoulder (which he hated possibly more than if I’d tried to stab him) as he was entering a complex key into some email verification system. When I asked what it was, he (reluctantly, at that point) told me about Pretty Good Privacy.
And ever since then, I’ve been seeing things in PGP-colored glasses. Kind of like how my aunt’s birthday always shows up when I look at the clock. (10:17)
Pretty Good Protection, which I always conflate with the email verifier, could actually refer to this:
or this.
Then there’s:
Pretty Good Party (one that’s okay-fun, but you probably leave before midnight)
Pretty Good Preference (either works, but I only have one flag)
Pretty Good Pie (my pumpkin pie, available but once every year)
Pretty Good Perfection (oh, the irony)
Pretty Good People (Why is the phrase “good people” still so popular?)
Pretty Good Pizza (otherwise known as “utility pizza” – the stuff you can get almost anywhere [except Times Square] in New York)
Pretty Great Pizza (Lombardi’s, John’s, Brother’s, etc)
